You can almost smell the succulent aroma of turkey, apples, dressing, and other holiday goodies. The very thought is making me hungry–my turkey craving always kicks in around this time of the year anyway.
This Victorian illustration is the work of the very gifted artist, M. Schmucker from around the turn of the century. He was a popular artist in the Victorian era, his work widely collected, and it’s still treasured today. Postcards and other ephemera bearing his signature can command a respectable price. It’s impossible to contemplate Victorian ephemera and not think of Schmucker’s work.
